The Following images were taken on my 12 month trip along the Silk Road, at one time the most important commercial route between Eastern and Western civilizations. By avoiding air travel and taking time to explore, I was able to observe the way in which cultures blend with and influence one another. Traditional customs and modern technology sometimes collided in the unlikeliest of places, but ultimately afforded me a rare insight as to how the people of these remote locations participate in the 21st century, without negating their ancestral way of life.
